About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Field Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across Western Canada. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, mentoring the team to manage key accounts, and driving revenue growth within the region. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in field sales, team management, and business development.
Location: Calgary
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive market share, revenue growth, and customer acquisition in Western Canada.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and develop action plans to capitalize on growth potential.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Field Sales Management: Oversee and support field sales representatives, ensuring they have the resources, training, and guidance needed to succeed.
- Performance Management: Monitor sales performance, provide regular reporting and insights, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Travel: Regular travel within the Western Canada region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support the sales team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience in the Tech/RFID industry is an asset.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Western Canada.
