We are seeking a strategic, client-focused Enterprise Account Manager to lead and grow a key partnership within the retail/grocery industry. This individual will serve as the primary relationship owner for one major enterprise client, responsible for aligning our solutions with the customer’s evolving operational and digital transformation needs. The ideal candidate has deep experience in enterprise sales, a strong understanding of retail/grocery business dynamics, and a passion for delivering measurable value through innovative technology and services.
Location preference is along the west coast.
What you’ll do:
- Own the relationship with a single large retail/grocery account, acting as the client’s trusted advisor and central point of contact
- Drive revenue growth through a land-and-expand strategy, identifying opportunities to deliver new solutions and deepen engagement across departments and regions
- Gain deep insight into the client’s business model, including supply chain, in-store operations, e-commerce integration, and customer experience priorities
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan tailored to the client’s operational challenges and growth goals
- Promote and sell a portfolio that may include barcode/RFID solutions, POS systems, wireless infrastructure, Managed Mobility Services, and retail-focused software
- Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders from the C-suite to operational managers across IT, logistics, merchandising, and store operations
- Stay current on retail industry trends, including digital transformation, frictionless checkout, inventory accuracy, and customer engagement technologies
- Track and report on key metrics, pipeline activity, and strategic progress using CRM and other reporting tools
- Identify competitive threats and shifting market dynamics within the grocery/retail sector, and adjust strategy accordingly
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management, ideally within the retail, grocery, or consumer goods space
- Proven success managing and growing a single, complex enterprise account with multiple buying centers
- Demonstrated ability to close large deals and expand strategic relationships over time
- Strong understanding of retail technology ecosystems, such as store operations, mobile computing, inventory management, and omnichannel integration
- High-level consultative selling skills, with the ability to translate client needs into tailored technology and service solutions
- Adept at building trust and navigating large organizations at all levels, including VP and C-level
- Confident communicator and presenter, skilled in leading strategic discussions and business reviews
- Experience managing CRM systems and account planning tools
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Preferred Experience:
- Experience selling to major grocery or retail chains
- Knowledge of retail-specific technologies, such as self-checkout, mobile POS, electronic shelf labeling, and RFID
- Familiarity with major retail OEMs and ecosystem partners
OTE expectations around 180-200K+
