Position Summary 
Levata is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of technology solutions at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically capable, and comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Perform onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of:
    • Wireless networking equipment (APs, controllers)
    • Structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A)
    • RFID and IoT solutions (where applicable)
    • POS, scanners, printers, and related hardware
  • Execute project work including:
    • Access point mounting and alignment
    • Cable runs, terminations, and testing
    • Equipment rack/IDF/MDF setup
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while onsite
  • Ensure all work is completed to professional and safety standards
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation:
    • Service reports
    • Installation photos
    • Test results (Fluke or equivalent where required)
  • Communicate effectively with:
    • Customers onsite
    • Dispatch and project coordination teams
  • Manage time, travel, and assigned work orders to meet project timelines

Required Qualifications 
  • 2+ years of experience in field service or low-voltage/network installations
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
    • Wireless networking fundamentals
  • Experience with:
    • Cable termination and testing
    • Mounting hardware and cable pathways (J-hooks, conduit, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Floor plans
    • Network diagrams
  • Valid driver’s license and must have access to vehicle everyday
  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts)

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with:
    • Cisco Meraki, Extreme, Fortinet, or similar wireless platforms
    • RFID or warehouse technologies
  • Certifications (nice to have):
    • Network+ / CCNA
    • Manufacturer certifications (Meraki, Extreme, etc.)
    • Lift certification / Working at Heights
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Work Environment 
  • Field-based role with travel to customer locations
  • Work may include:
    • Warehouses, retail environments, offices, and industrial sites
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on project requirements
