HR Business Partner
Description
HR Business Partner
About the Role:Â
We're looking for an HR Business Partner, based at our Markham, Ontario location, who loves to build and scale. You'll take our existing foundational HR structure and scale it to support rapid growth, starting with 40+ net new sales hires. You'll work closely with our dedicated recruiter to fill the roles we need and partner with them on our on-campus recruitment, then build the onboarding, manager enablement, and people programs that help new hires and the business succeed.
Who we are looking for:
🔹 A builder who enjoys taking foundational HR processes and making them scalable, repeatable, and practical.
🔹 A true business partner who builds trust with leaders and team members through perspective, discretion, and practical solutions.
🔹 A doer who anticipates needs, enables managers, and applies policies consistently while thinking big about people strategy.
🔹 A clear communicator and collaborator who balances compliance, care, and impact through times of rapid change.
What You'll Do
Scale the HR Foundation
•   Build on our existing HR structure—policies, processes, and programs—and scale it for rapid growth, deciding what to standardize, automate, or build next.
•   Design and run scalable onboarding, ramp, and development programs for early-career hires, including cohort-based onboarding and 30/60/90-day milestones.
•   Establish key people metrics (time to hire, ramp time, early attrition, engagement) to measure results and drive continuous improvement.
•   Ensure compliance with Ontario and Canadian employment legislation and internal policies as headcount grows.
Hire and Onboard Our Sales Class
•   Work closely with our dedicated recruiter to fill the roles we need, including 40+ net new sales hires with a targeted audience of college graduates.Â
•   Partner with the recruiter on on-campus recruitment, including campus strategy, hiring timelines, interview approach, and offers.
•   Coach and equip managers to lead, develop, and give feedback to first-time professionals.
•   Be the first point of contact for new hires and managers on HR policies, workplace concerns, and employee relations.
Partner with the Business
•   Act as an embedded partner to business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and career pathing.
•   Coach leaders on team dynamics and leadership effectiveness, using feedback and data to identify and address root causes of engagement concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
•   3+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least one year as a business partner in a high-growth environment
•   Proven track record building or scaling HR processes and programs—you're energized by creating structure where little exists
•   Experience with high-volume or early-career hiring, including campus recruiting (ideally within the Canadian university recruiting cycle) and onboarding recent graduates
•   Skill in designing onboarding and training programs and coaching managers of first-time professionals
•   Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to run multiple workstreams on tight timelines
•   Working knowledge of Ontario and Canadian employment legislation and comfort with HRIS, applicant tracking, and people analytics
•   Collaborative, humble, and pragmatic, with excellent communication skills and a bias toward action
•   Bilingual in English and Canadian French preferred
•   Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field; CPHR designation (CHRP/CHRL) or other HR certification preferred
