Abrigo is seeking a go-getting, IT Internal Controls Specialist to join the IT Risk & Assurance Team. The IT Internal Controls Specialist is responsible for daily review and operation of IT general controls at Abrigo. This role will be required to understand Abrigo’s IT internal control environment and confirm the effectiveness of controls on a daily basis.    

We are an industry leader in the fight against financial crime – providing software solutions and services to help our customers fight the bad guys. This is a great opportunity for a project-oriented individual to join our IT Risk & Assurance Team in assisting Abrigo through the next phase of growth.  This position offers the flexibility of working remotely or from our offices in Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX    


What You’ll Do:  

  • Follow defined checklists to confirm the operating effectiveness of daily, weekly, and monthly IT internal controls, including:
    • System and database backups 
    • Asset inventory updates 
    • Change management tickets 
    • Personnel onboarding/offboarding tasks 
    • Patch and vulnerability management reports 
    • Incident response documentation 
  • Coordinate with internal control owners to resolve IT control failures 
  • Periodically compile metrics intended to measure control effectiveness 
  • Update and document control processes upon change to the internal control environment 
  • Assist with projects related to vendor and contract management, as needed 
  • Assist with collecting documentation for internal and external auditors, when required 
  • Other duties related to your capabilities, assigned on an as-needed basis 

What You’ll Need:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Able to problem-solve and work collaboratively with control owners
  • Basic understanding of IT control frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated analytical skills
  • Developed skills using ticketing platforms and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior knowledge working with asset, change control, and vulnerability management systems is a plus
