Abrigo is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer I to join our team and assist in ensuring the security of our cloud-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers to implement and maintain security controls, conduct security assessments, and respond to security incidents.

Applicants may choose to work remote or be hybrid-based at our office in Raleigh, NC, or Austin, TX. 


What You'll Do:

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Learn to develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments.
  • Assist in conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies in Cloud Security.
  • Administer Vulnerability Management Platform & CSPM Platform.
  • Reconcile patch management, vulnerability management, and asset management systems to ensure inventory uniformity between each tool.
  • Document Risk Findings from internal and external assessments, as well as published bulletins (CISA KEV, NIST CVE, etc.).
  • Regular communication on remediation project status to management and IT Risk Department.
  • Coordinate application penetration testing and post-test remediation.
  • Maintain asset inventory within Patch, Vulnerability, CSPM and reconcile vs. asset inventory system of record.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Security Engineer and Cloud Security Architect to develop control implementation via IaC.
  • Administer patch deployment and verification for corporate assets.



What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud computing principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, IAM, Firewall Manager, Event Bridge, Lambda.
  • Fundamental knowledge Python and/or other programming languages.
  • Fundamental knowledge of scripting.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub Actions, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of security tools and technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP).
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (FFIEC, NIST, CSA).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives working as a team, but capable of working independently as well.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CCSP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are a plus.
