Project Manager, Digital Transformation
Summary and Qualifications:
The primary purpose and function of this role is to enact strategic partnerships across Mars Veterinary Health and serve as information technology (IT) project manager for the Group ensuring that the Group optimizes the effectiveness of its current and future investments in IT.
Manage, ensure, and deliver sustainable solutions and projects to enable digital transformation.
Oversee execution of projects that build the Petcare ecosystem.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Support the objectives of MVH IT in developing appropriate digital solutions and strategies to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
Build, develop, and manage a cohesive MVH IT portfolio to ensure relevant capabilities are available now and in the future.
Map and grow IT shared service models for the Veterinary Services business.
Evangelize the strategy of the MVH Information Technology organization.
Meaningfully standardize processes across disparate systems and organizations by leveraging synergies across those organizations to increase measurable efficiency.
Develop sound business cases for IT investments for the Group.
Develop and nurture key business relationships both within Mars and the industry to build a strong IT community.
Manage the work plan for multiple large projects and initiatives, as needed.
Translate business needs into appropriate technical action.
Deliver on projects and initiatives, to agreed budgets and timetables.
Champion changes, including changes in the technical environment.
Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Program Management, Business or equivalent years of related professional experience is required.
Five years relevant experience in Program Management / Business Development is required.
Minimum three years of experience in program management and deployment is required.
Proven track record of change management is required.
High learning and people agility; comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments is preferred.
Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
