SUMMARY
Balke Brown Transwestern is seeking a passionate Junior Broker to join our commercial real estate team! A Junior Broker will perform routine office and fieldwork in the areas of real property activities such as leasing, client/tenant relations, negotiations, client communications and any other property needs. Will actively interface with Property Manager and members of BBA corporate office, as required and will support property management in tenant relationship activities.  Will interface with client’s representatives and leadership frequently to activities.  Will interface with client’s representatives and leadership frequently to discuss specific tenant lease issues and marketing strategies.  Will frequently meet with tenants to determine satisfaction/needs.  Will become a visible player in the local real estate market.

Compensation: Base Salary $30,000 + Commission

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities will include the following.  The Principal may assign other duties.
  • Marketing and listing properties, creating ads and setting up viewings of available space
  • Scheduling tenant meetings relative to office needs/leasing
  • Researching and monitoring the commercial real estate market
  • Cold Call prospective tenants and speak before group meetings
  • Assessment of tenant’s space demand
  • Follow-up correspondence to tenants and client representatives
  • Prepares and presents reports, conducts market research and surveys
  • Preparation of lease documents through execution
  • Planning/coordinating tenant relations’ events and providing feedback to property management regarding tenant requests for building amenities, additional services, etc.
  • Attend space meeting and construction meetings relative to new tenants/prospects
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; master’s degree, a plus.  Experience in marketing, commercial leasing or related area (1 to 2 years).  Illinois Real Estate license required, Broker license preferred.
