1ST LINE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

We currently have a vacancy in our IT Infrastructure department for a 1st Line Support Technician. The role involves supporting end users of the business via phone, email or face-to-face, whenever they have issues or requests with their IT services. This involves identifying the appropriate solution to resolve the request or issue in the first instance and escalating to 2nd or 3rd line technicians when necessary. The role demands a person who is organised, loves to communicate, enjoys problems solving, and has a service first attitude.


To be considered for this role you will possess the following;


  • Experience of Microsoft Windows 7, 8 & 10 and Microsoft Server 2012
  • Experience of Microsoft Exchange 2007 mailbox administration
  • Experience of Microsoft Active Directory user administration
  • Experience of PC and Laptop configuration, support and troubleshooting
  • Experience of Microsoft Office 2007, 2013 & Office 365
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • A positive approach to learning

 To be considered for this role you will possess the following;

 Whilst not a requirement it would be advantageous if you also possess;

  • Experience of working in a regulated business
  • An understanding of ITIL Service Management approaches
  • Any Microsoft, Cisco or ITIL certifications
  • Experience of configuring and administering phone systems for end users
