POSITION TITLE:  Assistant Buyer, Bike Hardgoods

DEPARTMENT: Merchandising

LOCATION:  Park City

The Assistant Buyer role is the first level within the Merchandising Group and provides administrative and organizational support to the Buyer and Associate Buyer.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor Open Order report weekly and execute ASAP POs to fulfill orders as quickly as possible
  • Provide quick feedback to Customer Service (GearHead Team) regarding the status of inventory requests
  • Work with vendors, managers, receivers and planners to resolve receiving issues
  • Monitor the site map to ensure coherent layout of product groups, sub categories, pricing
  • Trouble shooting front end issues with the Bike Builder & working with BikeOp team to resolve
  • Provide feedback to the Content Team on priorities and updates in images and copy
  • Parse vendor SKU data for SKU creation and gathers vendor assets for PDPs
  • Keeping product changes top of mind and transitioning SKUs accordingly
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure merchandise is tied into promos and sales
  • Creates reporting for Buyer and Associate Buyer as needed
  • Provide analytical feedback to Merchandise Team and Planners regarding product trends and popularity

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in a retail, catalog, or internet environment
  • Buying or inventory analyst experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel a must)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure, prioritizes competing tasks, and schedule time wisely
  • Experience with and a strong understanding of Retail Math 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel a must)
  • Interested in Bikes, riding bikes is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
