Manager, Marketing Analytics

About the Role:


We’re looking for an experienced Manager of Marketing Analytics to evolve and lead a high performing Marketing Analytics team and partner with other key business teams to achieve acquisition, retention and brand goals.


        Define, evolve, and maintain Backcountry’s Marketing Analytics capabilities, attribution, and reporting framework in conjunction with executive leadership.

        Monitor, measure/analyze day-to-day business results; Deliver meaningful insights and trends to Senior leadership.

        Continue to refine and expand our understanding of channel efficiency, incrementality, and customer impact across all channels, including paid digital channels (Google, Facebook), new/emerging brand channels (e.g. YouTube, TV etc.), and BC owned channel performance (Social Media)

        Develop testing roadmap and learning agenda related to strategic business challenges Test and provide proactive insights and analysis on strategic challenges and new marketing opportunities.

        Develop proactive forecasting and business reporting; Own spend, channel, and customer performance performance goals across all channels/sites in collaboration with channel teams and finance partners

        Partner with Integrated, Retention and Brand Marketing teams to develop a holistic suite of full funnel marketing reporting

        Lead implementation and application of new reporting capabilities such as Media Mix Modeling

        Work closely with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to maintain data hygiene as well as execute Marketing Analytics roadmap; request and prioritize new data sources, metrics, and machine learning applications.

        Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning teams to create product and inventory based marketing reporting to improve overall business decision making.

        Evangelize data driven decision making at every level of the company.

Experience We're Looking For

        Deep understanding of performance marketing, statistical analysis, and experience with standard techniques including linear regression, time series analysis, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing.

        5+ years of relevant experience; Previous roles in Ecommerce/Retail Analytics a plus.

        Technically proficient in SQL and/or LookML.

        Experience in cloud-based BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau etc. preferred.

        Hands-on experience in Web Analytics (e.g. GA360)

        BA/MBA in Engineering, Marketing, Analytics/Data-Science.

        Outstanding communication skills and experience to drive cross-functional teams toward measurable outcomes.
