Overview:
At GMR, the CEO’s Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner. This role goes beyond a traditional EA position - blending high-level executive support with elements of strategic project management, and internal culture leadership. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to develop broad operational and strategic experience within the company. The CEO’s Executive Assistant helps translate key priorities into coordinated action across the organization—driving alignment, supporting decision-making, and ensuring seamless execution of key projects. In addition to managing complex executive logistics, the role also leads company-wide communication efforts and culture-building programs that strengthen engagement and reinforce GMR’s values. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, with exceptional judgment, discretion, and has the ability to work cross functionally in a fast-moving work environment. 
 
Responsibilities:
Strategic Support
  • Partner closely with the CEO to advance strategic priorities and ensure organizational alignment.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and communications.
  • Attend leadership meetings and meetings on other high priority company initiatives; track decisions and drive actions/to-dos for key projects.
  • Serve as a connective tissue across departments to improve communication and speed of execution.
  • Help maintain visibility into progress across leadership initiatives and escalate issues when needed. 
  • Support prep needed for board and investor meetings.
  • Lean into special projects as directed by the CEO.
 
Culture, Engagement & Company Events
  • Own the vision and execution of events and programming for GMR’s culture building initiatives (manage yearly culture calendar)
  • Design experiences that reinforce company values and strengthen employee connection.
  • Partner with People & Culture to align programming with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee event strategy, budgeting, vendor selection, and production.
  • Introduce creative, forward-thinking approaches to employee engagement.
  • Ensure events reflect the company’s brand, energy, and leadership standards.
  • Plan and oversee annual GL offsite and/or All Company offsite
  • Plan and oversee training events for new employees, in partnership with GMR’s training team (typically 2X per year)
  • Plan and execute executive/leadership team offsites
  • Plan and execute annual GMR holiday party
 
Internal Communication
  • Work with CEO to develop annual plan for communication to GMR staff.
  • Plan and execute regular all hands meetings.
  • Work with CEO to prepare regular email communication to staff.
  • Identify opportunities to recognize/reward exceptional performance.  
 
Executive Operations & CEO Support
  • Manage complex executive calendars with strategic prioritization.
  • Screen and manage communications on behalf of the CEO.
  • Draft correspondence and maintain critical records.
  • Handle highly confidential matters with absolute discretion.
  • Provide seamless assistance with personal logistics, scheduling, and projects.
  • Coordinate detailed domestic and international travel
  • Manage time-sensitive errands and requests with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Protect the CEO’s time by anticipating needs and removing friction wherever possible.
 
Qualifications
  • Prior roles could include: Chief of Staff, Senior Executive Assistant, Head of Culture, etc. Strategic operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in high performance work environment highly desirable.
  • Experience organizing / leading events, culture initiatives, and/or employee programming is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and executive presence.
  • High emotional intelligence with superb relationship instincts.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and make sound decisions.
  • Absolute discretion and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Details: 
The compensation range is between $38.46 - $43.27 per hour dependent on experience + annual discretionary bonus.

We offer a very competitive benefits package and time off schedule. Our office is located in Westwood Village, Los Angeles, CA. This position is required to be in the office Monday through Thursday.
