Job Summary 

The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager and the VP of Finance in issuing financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

• Analyzes and Interprets Financial data for the company
• Effective communication with colleagues and site managers
• Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations within the unique regulatory environment of the cannabis industry
• Work with deadlines and policies
• Strong accounting, analytical and communication skills
• Coordinate reconciliation of sub ledger accounts and general ledger
• Provide and support appropriate levels of reviews and oversight for activities performed by offshore associates
• Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
• Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks
• Confirm and abide by all internal procedures, policies and regulatory guidance

Qualifications 

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Master financial analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI
• Understand accounting principles, standards, and techniques
• Experience with general ledger
• Must meet the age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
• Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
• Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
  
  

Experience 

• three to five years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping; exposure to manufacturing/retail/wholesale a plus
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

• Knowledge of finance and accounting, including GAAP, inventory management, and budgeting
• Problem Solving
• Excellent Math Skills
• Date Entry Management
• Trustworthiness and ability to keep strict confidentiality
