Description

This sales operations manager is responsible for working directly with the sales and marketing organizations to help drive the next stage of Ayla’s growth.  You will report to the Vice President of Sales and be a key partner in analyzing sales and pipeline trends and developing robust insights to drive productivity and efficiency.

The primary purpose role is to proactively lead the sales operation function to optimize the sales of the Company’s solutions, help achieve topline targets, and support both IoT and AI/ML sales divisions. This includes working closely with marketing and product to better enable the training and collateral needs of the sales team. You will be responsible for improving and driving processes for commercial pricing and approvals as well as CRM reporting and hygiene. Most of all, Ayla is looking for a critical thinker that can challenge the norm and find new and better ways of achieving our goals based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Daily, weekly monitoring of SFDC data and report on health of pipeline, shape and velocity of the sales funnel (lead to won opportunity), and bookings trends. Build statistical models of business trends and predictive models for sales forecast and pipeline building.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Professional Services to access major steps/roadblocks in sales funnel and provide data driven insight for enhanced decision making
  • Rigorous Support to a distributed Global sales team on all aspects of systems and processes to improving our sales execution, productivity, and effectiveness
  • Cross functional support & communication with Product, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Measure marketing funnel activity to ensure predictable pipeline building
  • Architect and manage ongoing updates to our Salesforce instance and Sales Operation processes.
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales to ensure sales goals are consistently met.
  • Carryout organizational operating policies and procedures across the sales operations organization.
  • Participate in technical and sales training to stay ahead of the latest company products and technology. Partner with the Product team to develop ongoing training curriculum.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of the Company’s underlying technology, the range of existing products and consulting services.
  • Present regular detailed reports to Management regarding Sales Operations activities

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience with enterprise software sales operations
  • Extensive experience working with Marketing and lead funnel is a plus
  • Strong user knowledge of SFDC preferred (SFDC Admin skills are a plus)
  • Experience with Sales KPIs and metrics highly desired
  • Experience with sales compensation, quota planning is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of business processes
  • Ability to apply knowledge of software revenue recognition rules to forecasting and analysis
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
