Ayla Networks is redefining the way brands, enterprises and service providers can develop, monetize and support connected products for the Internet of Things (IoT) in a way that’s open, scalable and economical. Ayla provides the industry’s first Agile IoT Platform, an end-to-end software fabric running across devices, cloud, and apps to create secure connectivity, data analytics, and feature-rich customer experiences.

Ayla is looking to hire a full time Product Marketing Manager based anywhere in the U.S to support and contribute to Ayla’s global growth strategy. This new hire will be part of the Marketing team reporting to the Global Vice President of Marketing, and will initially be an individual contributor focused on the consumer brands (OEM) business. The timing for this hire is Q4 2021.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Messaging & Positioning (10%) – Develop and regularly update the persona-based messaging and positioning framework for the consumer brands OEM segment
  • Content Marketing (40%) – create compelling thought leadership and product content in a variety of formats including solution briefs, videos, infographics, blogs to drive awareness creation and market demand
  • Market & Competitive analysis (25%) – conduct deep research into the OEM/IoT market and develop a good understanding of competitor offerings, new products and overall strengths and weaknesses
  • Sales enablement & Support (15%) – train the sales team on the latest messaging /positioning , and actively support deals through meeting participation or generating collateral
  • Industry awareness (10%) - Participate in industry events and develop collaboration with market influencers to elevate Ayla’s brand visibility and awareness

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in product marketing roles, ideally in B2B enterprise technology (software) companies. Prior IoT experience is a big plus.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills to be able to interact effectively with executive level customer contacts
  • Self-driven, process-oriented and analytical to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product and Services
  • Proven experience of using content assets to drive pipeline creation and acceleration in an early-to-mid stage software company
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, sensitivity to deadlines
  • College degree (BS/BA) in engineering, science or business disciplines, MBA is a plus but not required
