We focus on serving the leading OEM and Retail partners in the consumer smart home market. We are currently looking to expand our Sales organization by hiring a Sales Director, Smart Home. This role can be based anywhere in North America, and a remote work presence will be fully supported. Travel is expected and necessary to be successful in this role.
What You Will Be Doing
- Meet and surpass multi-million-dollar revenue targets by identifying large customer opportunities and aligning our solutions to win business.
- Help develop the go to market strategy and execute it
- Leverage your network to build multi-million-dollar pipeline
- Identify customers’ needs and provide direction to internal product stakeholders to improve on overall Ayla solution
- Driving fast-paced growth and management of the region’s performance.
- Communicate with management on market needs and trends.
- Working in tandem with and directing sales engineers on your sales cycles
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ Years of experience in solution selling high value technology solutions that are cloud based and/or have done enterprise software sales to senior-level executives within Fortune 1000 companies and Top manufacturers.
- Direct sales experience with Connected Device executives or in the IT or CTO organization
- Track record of closing multi-million-dollar SaaS deals in consumer products or retail verticals
- Strong track record of sales achievement
- While there is a premium on hunting new logos, this role will also inherit a portfolio of 10-20 customers and will be expected to nurture and grow those accounts
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously
- Previous experience managing channels, knowledge of Internet of Things and Mobile Application Development is a plus.
- Operating successfully in environments of ambiguity and controlled chaos: you have worked in small companies where the job description doesn’t always match the problems you solve
- Managing across functions: as the voice of the customer inside Ayla, you have demonstrated experience advocating on their behalf across product, engineering, support, finance, etc.

- Sales Director or higher experience level

- Must be both sales-focused and technically savvy
- Experience with Solution Selling

- Driven Sales Executive with track record of success
- Background in Professional Services a plus
- Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
