The Opportunity

The Associate Director, Market Insights is an integral role in preparing Avidity for global launches of its clinical programs. This role will provide a foundational understanding of key global markets in preparation for global launches. This individual will work closely across all functions to generate critical insights and drive alignment on key assumptions including market and competitive landscapes. Reporting to the head of Market Planning, this role will require the ability to collaborate and contribute to various projects and act as the internal expert on our markets. The ideal candidate will lead creation of strategic insight-generation plans to inform development of our commercial strategies.

What You Will Contribute

• Create and lead a clear strategic insight-generation plan to support business planning needs for Avidity’s clinical programs
• Drive a consistent and holistic understanding of key markets across the organization
• Lead competitive intelligence efforts by gathering and interpreting competitive actions and information to guide R&D, development, and commercial decision-making
• Integrate multiple sources including, but not limited to, primary market research, secondary research, 3rd party data analysis, and competitive intelligence, to derive actionable insights and recommendations that inform commercial strategies for all Avidity clinical programs
• Pressure test conclusions and implications drawn from our market insight initiatives to ensure assessments are objective, data-driven, and relevant
• Identify and select external partners to support execution of market insights projects and manage the processes to achieve quality, cost-effective, and efficient delivery

What We Seek

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
• 6+ years of industry experience within market research, commercial analytics, consulting, or similar role(s)
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with proven ability to synthesize outputs into actionable insights
• Understanding of all key global healthcare/pharmaceutical markets
• Experience working effectively within a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
• Effective presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization, inc. senior leadership
• Demonstrated team player with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed

What We will Provide to You:

• The base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $218,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
