The Opportunity

 

The Executive Director of Global Market Access will help prepare Avidity for successful global product launches across a portfolio of pipeline products. This individual will be an integral member of the market access and broader commercial team. Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy, this role will drive market access strategy, evidence dissemination plans, pricing and launch plans for target regions outside the US. Success will require excellence in teamwork and cross functional collaboration. Qualified candidates must have experience successfully marketing products globally in a market access role.

 

What You Will Contribute

 

  • Partner with commercial and medical affairs colleagues to develop global market access strategies and plans, in assigned regions, for Avidity’s rare disease pipeline products through various stages of development.
  • Create global value dossiers, cost-effectiveness and budget impact models and market entry plans for in-country Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and pricing & reimbursement submissions, within product development timelines.
  • Drive health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives that address payer evidence gaps and establish value for each product.
  • Represent the payer perspective and share global market access expertise with internal teams.
  • Identify payer value drivers and barriers to patient access. Create evidence dissemination and pricing plans that lead to successful and timely reimbursement.
  • Contribute to and drive global pricing strategies.
  • Support commercial readiness resourcing and launch plans, establishing foundational market access strategies and launch excellence goals.
  • Monitor the global market access landscape and incorporate relevant trends into Avidity plans, identifying potential future opportunities and threats related to patient access.
  • Support the development of managed access programs.

 

What We Seek

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in pharmaceutical market access. Must include 7+ years in HEOR and/or global payer strategy and pricing.
  • Experience successfully creating and executing HEOR plans and tactics in rare disease.
  • Ability to understand and summarize complex scientific information and present it in a clear, concise, and scientifically accurate manner to external audiences.
  • Ability to hire and lead teams and./or consultants to achieve market access goals.
  • In depth knowledge of HTA body and decision-maker information needs, as well as the submission process, for Europe.
  • Expertise in the global market access landscape and regional payer decision-making trends.
  • Knowledge of the global pharmaceutical compliance environment for customer engagement.
  • A passion for achieving goals as a member of the team. Proven track record of strong communication and collaboration skills, including recognition by cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to operate in compliance with Avidity’s policies and code of conduct.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities determined to be required for this position.
  • Position requires 30% travel, with the potential to change based on location.

 

What We will Provide to You:

  • The base salary range for this role is $291K - $321K. The final compensation and title will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
