Your Role:       
As the Director of Manufacturing, you occupy a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless operation and unwavering compliance of our manufacturing processes. Your leadership spans across strategy, operations, and compliance, setting the course for excellence. With a relentless commitment to upholding cGMP standards, you ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality outputs. Leads and empowers employees, driving impactful actions across functional areas. You direct and control the activities of the GMP Manufacturing Operations. This includes Upstream, Downstream, Formulations, Support, and Scheduling functions.   
  • Ensures that quality of the product is maintained, safety procedures, and company guidelines are followed.
  • Manages utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency.
  • Formulates and supervises processes, quality and production improvement methodologies.
  • Maintains authority over budget and scheduling for the Manufacturing Operations Departments.
  • Provides mentorship to managers of their functional area.
  • Communicates progress of the department to the Executive Team.
  • Identifies and evaluates fundamental issues or gaps that pose risk to the operations.
  • Communicates corporate goals and objectives to the Manufacturing staff.
  • Coordinates work with other departments to resolve issues across multiple departments.
  • Leads adoption of lean practices and a continuous improvement mindset throughout manufacturing and in partnership with supporting organization to improve quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a science or engineering discipline from a four-year college or university with 10 years of experience in a GMP facility manufacturing pharmaceuticals, preferably biologics or:
  • Masters/Doctorate in a science or engineering discipline with 6-8 years of experience in a GMP facility manufacturing pharmaceuticals, preferably biologics.
  • 7-15 years leading teams and managing operational budgets. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification. 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:       
This role is a full-time position operating Monday through Friday.  The employee must also, if instructed, be able to work overtime, holidays and/or weekends when needed.
 
Compensation:       
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, equity grants, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.       
       
The compensation range for this role is $164,800 - $219,800 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.     
 
We understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is ($164,800 - $219,800) plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
