Description

The Intern, Marketing supports Avid’s brand, thought leadership, and campaign initiatives by assisting with content development, digital marketing activities, and routine reporting. This role helps ensure consistent brand execution, supports the creation of marketing materials, and contributes to campaign planning and performance tracking. The intern will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to advance Avid’s visibility, awareness, and engagement across key channels. 
 
We are thrilled to provide a 10-week paid internship at our facility in Tustin, CA. As an intern, you will dive deep into our team culture, take on significant projects, and play a vital role in our team's dynamics. This temporary, 40-hour per week office position is designed to offer you a wealth of experience and the chance to connect with professionals in the industry.    
    
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Support brand initiatives by helping develop and refine marketing materials, presentations, and collateral. 
  • Assist in creating and organizing thought leadership content, including articles, webinar assets, and supporting visuals. 
  • Help build and execute marketing campaigns by contributing to planning, asset development, scheduling, and tracking. 
  • Conduct research to support content development, competitive insights, and audience targeting. 
  • Maintain and update marketing repositories, content libraries, and project trackers. 
  • Assist in drafting or refining copy for social media, email campaigns, website content, and event materials. 
  • Support digital reporting and analytics by compiling metrics on campaign performance, website traffic, social engagement, and content utilization. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Sales, BD, and SMEs, to gather information and support marketing priorities. 
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team as needed. 
Minimum Qualifications:    
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, on-brand execution. 
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to synthesize information and translate it into clear content or visuals. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). 
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, social platforms, or content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) preferred. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills. 
  • Ability to learn marketing systems such as CMS platforms, email marketing tools, or analytics dashboards. 
  • Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Tustin, CA facility. 
  • Authorization to work in the country where the internship is located. 
     
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences with an interest in marketing, or a related field. 
  • Creative, motivated, and eager to contribute to brand and content initiatives. 
  • Passionate about a career in the biotech industry and looking to gain valuable experience through this internship. 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:    
    
This role is a temporary position operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule.  
 
Internship to begin on Monday, June 15th and end on Friday, August 21st.    
 
What to Expect as an Avid Bio Intern:    
  • Summer Project: Personalized project plan, complete with a pre-determined roadmap and week by week milestones that the intern will need to meet, ensuring clear expectations and measurable outcomes. 
  • Mentorship: Your manager and team will provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities. 
  • Weekly Check-ins and 1:1s: Conduct both on a weekly basis to ensure clear communication and support for our interns. 
  • Performance Assessments: Conduct mid and end of program performance assessments to be provided with constructive criticism and feedback to help you grow and succeed. 
  • State of the Art Facility: You’ll be working amongst the brightest minds in our world class facilities 
  • Internship Experiences: Intern Open House, Summer Leadership Series, Lunch & Learns, Site Tours, End of Program Presentation 
Compensation:    
    
The compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
