Your Role:
Elevate your career with Avid Bioservices as our Sr. LIMS Administrator, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our LabWare Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) used throughout Avid. This position offers the unique opportunity to build the essential master data required to support an expanding client product pipeline. You will assist in maintaining and building new modules within LabWare LIMS which will have a lasting impact throughout the company. Perform and review routine assays for ELISA/cell-based immunoassays, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE/IEF), and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing with strict adherence to written analytical test procedures and good documentation practices following the ALCOA system in a GMP environment.
- Provide frontline support and assistance to LabWare end users to ensure end users can perform their day-to-day duties.
- Understand the intricacies of Item Codes, Products, Sample Plans, and be able to build the associated master data from business needs.
- Work on testing and updating existing modules to maintain high level performance of the system.
- Implement new modules in collaboration with LabWare to help shape the design, configurations and workflows for future states such as raw material testing, instrument integration, and reagent management.
- Understand and document the functional requirements along with building out process flows used to streamline onboarding new modules.
- Document configuration changes and customizations in the change control process.
- Provide tools, procedures, and training sessions for Operations, Support, and Systems Development staff who assist in support efforts.
- Where design bugs are found, come up with creative solutions that will allow our business partners to perform their daily operations.
- Own the testing process - Prepare comprehensive test plans, test scripts and evaluate test results for application implementations, modifications or upgrades.
- Elicit and document user requirements, and create (or build, define, or you choose) solutions to achieve the desired result.
- Support validation activities by evaluating protocol approval and execution review.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- 4-6 years of experience in LabWare working with system administration, configuration design, master data setup, and workflows.
- Knowledge of requirements gathering, documentation and writing test scripts.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and respond to multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work with interruptions as problems arise needing immediate attention.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and written.
- Ability to document, pay attention to details, and perform at a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. Must be available to work extended hours if needed.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $97,000 - $129,400 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
