AVER is seeking a Management Analyst to support our client by providing task management and administrative support for leadership within the Front Office of the Department of Homeland Security. Responsibilities Include:

  • Gather and assess employee needs and allocate or provide resources to address acute concerns
  • Assist with facilitation of meetings, workshops, trainings.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives and performing special assignments.
  • Create strategic communication plans and campaigns about Organizational Health and Employee Experience-related matters
  • Proficient in applicable correspondence processing and tracking systems used by DHS as well as Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Visio, OneDrive, SharePoint, Adobe, and DHS shared drives
  • Document findings of surveys/polls, conduct analysis to ascertain organizational health and employee experience implications. Prepare assessment report and submit to program manager
  • Ensuring files are maintained in compliance with DHS record management policies
  • Assisting with coordinating with functional counterparts in response to policy changes, and the impact of these changes 
Education Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or a related field 
Experience Requirements: 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Management Analysis, Correspondence Analysis, Project Analysis, Communications, or Technical Writing required 
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation
  • Experience with data analysis and using data to drive informed decision making 
  • Experience with process analysis and developing workflow strategies
  • Ability to demonstrate effective decision-making techniques
  • Ability to provide superior customer service to senior leadership, individuals, and organizations
  • Ability to draft, develop, and edit content in various tools and formats
  • Knowledge and proficiency in knowledge management techniques (SharePoint)
  • Ability to track multiple tasks with various stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and presentation skills 
Desired Requirements:    
  • Experience with supporting Federal agencies, more specifically DHS, with the tasks listed above 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities 
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced work environment 
Location: 
  • HYBRID (1 day a week in Springfield, VA) 
Security Requirements:        
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
  • This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. Citizenship
