Job Responsibilities:
Actively participate in and contributes to the senior leadership of the Avalara business, including setting business strategy, participating in initiatives that encourage colleague engagement and satisfaction, promoting business growth, and ensuring operational and methodological excellence.Collaborate across multiple business units on business strategy and executionProvide leadership and direction as a consultative entity team delivering high quality pricing and market analysisCoordinate prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery for projects with resource and project leadersContribute to business growth within consulting services and expansion of these service linesAchieve revenue targets through direct client engagement and pricing initiativesCreate new business opportunities by pro-actively identifying and proposing technical and strategic solutionsDefine annual price optimization initiatives by analyzing and synthesize quantitative (sales and usage data) and qualitative data to develop a compelling pricing strategyWork with product management to understand product roadmap and feature functionality to develop pricing and packaging recommendationsDevelop subject matter expertise on competitive pricing practices and trends, monitor and disseminate changes and analyze business and account level impactEffectively influence GMs and Product Management on product monetizationQualifications:
10+ years of Pricing, Consulting and/or Corporate Strategy experienceBachelor's degree required; MBA preferredBroad technical knowledge of pricing and market access in global marketsSuccessful review of project or data outputs, interpret results, and develop/deliver presentationsStrong knowledge of the SAAS industry and understanding of buyers of pricing and market access servicesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assigned accounts simultaneously and related revenueStrong strategic and technical writing skills and highly proficient in the use of Windows Office applicationsExcellent communication skillsSuccessful history meeting deadlines while working on multiple parallel projectsDemonstrated success in leading new business opportunities to include attracting and delivering new business revenue at targets based on experience levelAble to identify and develop solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspectiveSelf-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment
