Developer Support Implementation Engineer

Customer Support Pune, MH


Responsible for assisting customers in setup and design of Avalara APIs in collaboration with the Avalara Implementation team. Works directly with customers to assist in design and build of custom integrations using Avalara APIs. Performs tests and troubleshoots functionality of systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and engineering teams for resolution. Provides feedback based on customer experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.

Job Duties


  • Assist in customer implementations


  • Understand Product requirement or customer problems and provide technical solution

  • Create technical designs and for customer implementations

  • Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and practices

  • Participate in customer planning calls, assisting in solutioning Avalara APIs

  • Require support during US hours and on-call rotation


  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience supporting enterprise level software and/or customer

  • Knowledgeable in at least one of the following: C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby PHO

  • Knowledgeable Microsoft SQL Server

  • Knowledgeable in APIs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional demeanor, team player, and positive attitude

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities

  • Demonstrated high standards of excellence in work product

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with SaaS Implementations


  • Knowledgeable in multiple SDKs

  • Familiarity with Avalara APIs
