As the Head of Product Management EMEA, you will lead a product management team for Avalara's solutions in EMEA and drive the roadmap and product execution for Avalara's VAT & compliance products for enterprise and SMB market segments--reporting to the VP, Product Solutions for Verticals and Internationals.

Job Duties:


  • Create a compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap that will enable Avalara's sustained differentiation as a global compliance platform, fit for our EMEA customer segments and enabling key routes to market through partners and ecosystems.

  • Evangelize and communicate product strategy and roadmap with customers, partners, and executives---achieving understanding and alignment of prioritization decisions through transparency, collaboration, and with customer-evidenced conviction.

  • Lead, hire, and grow a highly accountable, high performing product team, cultivating a strong user-centered, customer-first, agile product culture that delivers products that users love on time.

  • Provide strong leadership to direct reports through clearly defined OKRs, coaching/mentoring, and leading by example to help team members achieve job fulfillment and career growth.

  • Establish a data-driven product discipline of continuous discovery and continuous validation that enables quick iterations, testing, and learning. Improve the way we plan and execute epics, sprints, and product delivery.

  • Partner cross-functionally with other leaders and teams across product management, UX, engineering, sales, support, services, and other business stakeholders to drive alignment of product priorities tied to growth, efficiency, quality, and sustained differentiation.

  • Be a key influencer and co-owner of business strategy, partnering with GMs and/or business owners to jointly achieve business objectives for the EMEA region.

Qualifications:


  • You have at least 7-10 years of experience across product management, product analyst/operations, product design, and leading teams. You've managed products for B2B businesses/companies through the $25-$100M ARR phase. You have a proven ability to design, develop, and ship B2B SaaS using agile methodologies.

  • You are a leader who motivates, inspires and grows your people. You consistently hire A-players, earn their loyalty, and grow their careers. You've led a team of 5-20 directs or matrixed and can effectively work cross-functionally to align and inspire. Led/influenced product, design, engineering teams of 40 – 200+.

  • You are user-centered at the core. You demonstrate and practice empathy in product thinking, know how to define journeys and drive product execution aligned to journeys and B2B workflows.

  • You are a master problem solver. You are highly data-driven and demonstrated intellectual horsepower, creativity, analytical, curious, with a growth mindset. You can fail fast, take risk and learn fast.

  • You are focused and disciplined with a strong ability to prioritize, organize thoughts and organize the work in a structured and consumable way, strong goal-orientation, selective and don't get easily distracted.

  • You are highly strategic but can go deep. You have the ability to see and plan for mid- and long-term, connecting priorities to the company/product vision and roadmap, and translating that to actions and priorities for product teams.

  • You operate with the highest degree of integrity. You behave consistently based on high moral standards, do the right thing, and lead with intellectual honest

  • You constantly chase excellence and go to extraordinary lengths to deliver great outcomes. You're open to feedback and new ideas, personal improvement, always raising the bar. You can lift up the team as a result.
