We are building cloud-based tax compliance solutions to handle every transaction in the world. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Security Engineer to join our team.

Job Duties:

  • Participate in the writing, implementation and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Promote and build on outreach/training efforts across the company

  • Design, report, and present security metrics to engineering and other senior leadership

  • Respond to security queries from customers or partners; maintain prepared content

  • Perform security assessments on suppliers

  • Support GRCP audits and assessments including customer, partner, Legal, and auditor

  • Participate in Incident Response, including iterative development, testing, and improvement of existing procedures

  • Participate in defining and implementing Security Operation's broader strategy

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience as a System Security Engineer, Information Security Engineer, or equivalent IT/Engineering role

  • Intermediate experience building (scripting) security tools in a corporate environment

  • Intermediate knowledge of system administration activities including system hardening and network security

  • Demonstrable knowledge of security fundamentals (confidentiality, integrity, availability)

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are required

  • Experience managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or other certificate related services like Microsoft Certificate Services

  • Experience with a variety of AWS services such as IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, etc.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential and required; experience leading projects highly desired

  • Must be able to work autonomously as well as in team environments, often in stressful, high impact situations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) platforms such as Okta

  • Experience designing and maintaining general security awareness and education programs

  • An understanding of SSAE18 SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27000 standards, plus related assessment methodologies is desired

  • CISSP, SANS certifications, technology certifications and other security certifications is a plus
