Customer Marketing Manager - EMEA

Avalara is growing rapidly and seeking a customer focused marketing manager to help drive customer loyalty and expansion in EMEA. S/he will be responsible for supporting campaigns that target existing customers that drive demand for additional products and services. This role will also plan and execute customer loyalty, advocacy and case study programmes that support the acquisition of new customers.

You'll be organised and data-driven in order to map the right customers with the right message to the right opportunity, and track a set of goals to measure the effectiveness of your efforts.

Job Duties:

  • Own and drive a customer reference and advocacy programme for EMEA, including customer success stories, case studies, testimonials and referrals, etc.

  • Support and deliver cross-sell and up-sell marketing campaigns that result in customer expansion and new business growth

  • Support customer migration projects, and help to increase customer loyalty and retention

  • Support the planning and execution of events, including advisory boards, user groups, and webinars

  • Work closely with the operations and sales team across the region to ensure the maintenance of an up-to-date and accurate customer database

  • Work closely with our product and wider marketing team to ensure we are looping in our customer's voices when launching products.

  • Help with the creation of compelling content to ensure our campaigns are successful

  • Be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience using various customer success and customer relationship management techniques


  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a customer marketing, campaign marketing or demand generation role in a high growth SaaS or technology company

  • An understanding of B2B marketing and lead/demand generation execution and tracking across multiple channels, such as digital, social, email, events, webinars and content

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Someone who can communicate complex data and numbers into clear and actionable insights

  • A proactive self-starter who's able to take the initiative and has exceptional attention to detail

  • Has a positive, can-do attitude and is happy to work with marketing and sales teams in the US and EMEA and build beneficial and collaborative relationships
