Mission / why the role exists

  • Improve scalability by documenting Avalara's property tax institutional knowledge to reduce resource dependencies needed for marketing, sales, onboarding, and product support efforts.

  • Improved customer satisfaction through a properly maintained help-center to allow for self-paced training and/or support versus needed to contact the support team.

  • Ability to leverage property tax documentation for other application initiatives.

Outcomes (3-8 specific objectives the person must achieve)

  • Develop Property Tax 101 Collateral

  • Help Train new employees, stakeholders, and clients

  • Learn & master property tax foundations

  • Develop Software Help Center Strategy

  • Create Help Center “Product Definition” with attention to Implementing best practices & methods for platform & content catalogue

  • Create process documentation for product teams to develop & maintain content

  • Create process documentation for stakeholders to gather feedback & improvement opportunities

  • Develop Training Curriculum for new / existing clients

  • Articles, Videos, tutorials based on learning methodology

  • Lead Software training sessions upon request


  • Experience in designing, delivering, and managing SaaS training programs

  • Communication

  • Strategic thinking / prioritization

  • Teamwork: Partner well with GTM, Product teams, and clients

  • Ownership: Ability to own the help center “product” and team
