Internal Communications Specialist
The Internal Communication Specialist - Global Returns Services will be a driving force to create and manage a comprehensive global communications strategy for the Global Returns Services team. We are building a program to deliver informative communications and bolster employee engagement initiatives across our business. This team member will work with internal and external teams to help drive and support key communication initiatives that keep Avalarians informed, inspired and connected to our vision of being the global compliance platform.
Responsibilities:
Partner with leaders on developing an on-going communication strategy and implementing programs, processes and written communications targeted at our employee base
Help develop and manage content across a variety of tools - Keep it fresh & relevant (Intranet, wikis and shared calendars)
Support internal leadership team with ad hoc communications and change management strategies
Own quarterly All Hands meetings including coordinating messaging, themes and logistics
Contribute to writing, editing, and distribution of content across diverse channels including intranet, email, newsletters, social media, recruitment sites, live events, etc.
Collaborate with global partners across HR & corporate experience functions to support communications execution and assist with consistency and clarity of message
Partner w/ PR team on any external communication
Develop best practices for using internal communication tools and train leaders & team members on using tools effectively
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; 4+ years of professional work experience in internal or external communications
Strong technical skills for internal material development programs (MS PowerPoint, Google
Documents, and others) and communications platforms (Slack, Zoom, Outlook, Confluence etc.)Ability to work across multiple organizations and business units with a track record of using traditional and emerging communications tools and technologies
Executive presence, high level of professionalism, confidentiality and judgement
Extreme attention to detail, time management, organization skills.
Excellent planning, program management, prioritization, and presentation skills
Must have a positive and flexible attitude for working in a fast-paced environment and be able to build strong relationships across teams and levels
