Workday - Engagement Manager
Description
Avaap is seeking a seasoned, certified Workday Engagement Manager with experience implementing Workday in Government.
An Engagement Manager serves as a project team leader and drives projects to a successful outcome. An individual in this role manages one or more implementations' budget, resources, and time, ensures compliance with agreed-upon checkpoints, and smoothly transitions to product support.
Responsibilities Include
• Manages the implementation for one or more projects including budget, resources, and time
• Builds and maintains an accurate project schedule for the engagement; tracks issues and risks, communicates status and escalates concerns
• Coordinates and monitors the work of a project team
• Presents at Executive Steering Committee meetings
• Ensures that work produced is consistent with contract requirements and that project margins are maintained
• Manages own time, availability, progress against project plan, and billable hour expectations; supports project team members in doing the same
• Provides sales support including but not limited to proposals, presentations, work estimates, and Statement of Work (SOW) writing
• Presents client with change orders when requested tasks are outside the scope of the Statement of Work (SOW)
• Drives adoption of and adherence to Avaap practices, policies, and procedures across the project team
• Owns and manages key client relationships as well as other client-side relationships influencing project success (e.g. internal partners, vendors, employees and/or customers)
• Leverages current Avaap methodology, best practices, and tools to deliver client solutions; ensures consistency across projects, identifies opportunities for improvement, and drives enhancements
• Completes other related responsibilities as assigned based on client or business needs

Desired Experience and Skills
• Current Workday Project Manager (PM) aka Engagement Manager (EM) certification.
• Previous experience leading Workday implementations in an EM/PM capacity.
• A practitioner background in the functional areas of HR, Finance, or Payroll, is highly desired.
• A background in SLED is desired.
• Previous experience leading Workday implementations in an EM/PM capacity.

Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.
• Base Salary Range is $140,000 to $180,000 plus 25% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
*During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
