Workday - Functional Architect, Financial Accounting, Banking, Budgets, FDM

Responsibilities Include
- Partner with client leadership to deeply understand financial requirements, operational drivers, and long-term business objectives.
- Architect and lead the design of Workday Financials solutions with a strong focus on FDM, Financial Accounting, Budgets, and Banking & Settlements.
- Drive end-to-end configuration, solutioning, and integration alignment to streamline and elevate core financial processes.
- Facilitate design sessions, workshops, and decision-making discussions to guide clients toward scalable, best-practice Workday architecture.
- Provide advanced training, documentation, and enablement to ensure smooth adoption and long-term sustainability of Workday Financials.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, proactively identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure system stability and performance.
- Stay current with Workday releases, emerging functionality, and industry best practices, providing strategic insights and thought leadership to clients.
Qualifications Include
- Certified Workday Financials Consultant with extensive hands-on experience architecting, leading, implementing, and supporting Workday Financials solutions.
- Deep expertise in Financial Data Model (FDM), Financial Accounting, Consolidations, Budgets, Banking, & Settlements, with the ability to design future-state financial architecture.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to lead multiple initiatives, manage client expectations, and deliver within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and operational finance processes is a plus.
- Workday Financials Certified with implementer access.
- Experience implementing Workday FIN in Higher Education and/or Public Sector (Government), strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external.
Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.
• Base Salary Range is $150,000 to $192,500 plus 25% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
*During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
• Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
