Workday - Principal Consultant, Payroll

Avaap is seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Lead / Principal Consultant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities Include
Principal Consultants in Payroll are responsible for assessing issues in the respective area(s) of the customer's production tenant and initiating the iterative process of testing to provide an ultimate solution that meets the customer's business needs. These role(s) will build relationships with customer subject matter experts while partnering with colleagues if necessary. Teamwork is key in this role, and the candidate should understand applicable federal, state, and local regulations in which the customer must comply.
Desired Experience and Skills
• Possess a strong understanding of U S Payroll, including settlement, taxes, and all regulations applicable regulations at the federal, state and local level(s) in which the customer conducts business
• Workday U S Payroll certification preferred, including additional certification(s) in either Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking
• Confirm that solution design presented to the client meets the requirements of the project across multiple functional areas
• Workday U S payroll certification preferred, including additional certification(s) in Time Tracking and/or Absence
• Preference for Workday HCM consulting, and/or industry experience, Previous consulting experience with SaaS systems is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to document delivered solutions, and provide knowledge transfer to customers on acceptable solutions
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex solutions of varying degrees to non-technical users
• Demonstrated ability to build long term, productive customer relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.
• Base Salary Range is $135,000 to $175,000 plus 20% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
*During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively
• Must be able to perform work indoors and remain stationary at a computer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Passion for exceptional customer service and collaboration
• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
