An HCM Architect serves as a critical project team member and subject matter expert, guiding clients through discovery, design, and implementation. An individual in this role interprets client requirements to architect an implementation plan that meets the client's business and technical needs.  Architects are thought leaders in the practice, identifying innovative solutions to complex implementation challenges and contributing to the development of new content and services.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivers consulting solutions for large, complex projects and/or clients; serves as a subject matter expert and independently creates client deliverables as appropriate
• Leads key work streams including large, complex teams and/or projects; directs and monitors the work of a project team, reviews deliverables, and contributes key content
• Manages own time, availability, progress against project plan, and billable hour expectations; communicates risks and/or availability to project leader(s) and people manager and supports project team members in doing the same
• Provides sales support including but not limited to proposals, presentations, work estimates, and Statement of Work (SOW) writing
• Creates custom solutions as a result of gaps found during the requirement-gathering sessions while maintaining adherence to the client's Statement of Work(SOW)
• Contributes to the development of relevant solutions and methodologies, industry collateral and publications, and public speaking engagements
• Manages key client relationships as well as other client-side relationships influencing project success (e.g. internal partners, vendors, employees and/or customers)
• Leverages current Avaap methodology, best practices, and tools to deliver client solutions; identifies opportunities for improvement and drives enhancements
• Completes other related responsibilities as assigned based on client or business needs
• Design and implement Workday HCM solutions that align with business requirements, industry best practices, and Workday standards.
• Work closely with HR and IT teams to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and technical design documents.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, HR leaders, and third-party vendors to ensure that Workday HCM solutions are aligned with business needs and priorities.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams to ensure successful implementation of Workday HCM solutions.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities to ensure successful delivery of Workday HCM solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of Workday HCM solutions, including system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with Workday HCM features and functionality, industry trends, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the Workday HCM platform.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Academic studies or equivalent work experience in practice-related discipline

• Deep knowledge of practice offerings and services
• Experience with or knowledge of a variety of modules in product suite; market-leading functional and technical knowledge and skills in one or more modules and demonstrated quickness learning new knowledge and skills
• Prior experience delivering consulting solutions for large, complex projects and/or clients
• Prior experience leading key work streams including large, complex teams and/or projects
• Prior contributions to thought leadership and influence both inside and outside of the organization
• Demonstrated examples of meeting or exceeding behavioral expectations for previous title(s) in Avaap's Competency Model
• Prior experience serving as a mentor for multiple mentees
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills consistent with consulting uses
• Advanced skills using Open Air or similar system
• Advanced skills in practice-specific software, tools, and/or technology
•  Workday implementer certification in practice-related discipline (Workday certification required for Workday Business Unit)
 
Pay Transparency
Compensation for roles at Avaap varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific business unit, team, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Avaap provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.

• Base Salary Range is $150,000 to $185,000 plus 25% variable compensation is available for this specific role. At Avaap it is not typical to be hired at the top of the base salary range.
*During the interview process, alignment to level will be determined and should level differ from position applied for, a new compensation range will be provided for the appropriate role.

• Ability to work remotely or out of one of Avaap’s physical office locations
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
