Our opportunity:

We are looking for a highly accomplished individual to lead Go To Market (GTM) Strategy and Planning for Automation Anywhere. The ideal candidate will bring deep subject matter expertise and a proven track record in these areas.

As the Director of GTM Strategy and Planning, you will play a critical role in Automation Anywhere’s long-term success. You and your team will develop, design, and implement projects of high strategic importance that will set the company’s direction as we continue to deliver on our mission of making work more human by automating business processes and liberating people.

To succeed in this role you should have a strong spirit of innovation, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, “start-up” style, team-oriented organizational structure. The ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a variety of teams and personalities is essential as you will partner closely with many different stakeholders across Automation Anywhere including Sales leadership, Sales Operations, Global Alliances, Customer Success, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Product.

This role will report to the VP of World-Wide Sales Strategy and Operations and can be based anywhere in the US.

Location:  Remote role - ability to work within any U.S time zone

You will make an impact by being responsible for: 

  • Leading design and execution of GTM strategic initiatives. Examples: geo-strategy and country prioritization, x-functional business planning, GTM model enhancements, role ratio analysis and optimization, whitespace analysis, and cross-sell program design
  • Leading reoccurring (annual) planning activities and periodic refreshes: territory planning & carving, capacity planning, customer segmentation and coverage model design, x-functional interlocks between Sales and Product/Finance/Marketing/Customer Success
  • Supporting the design and implementation of direct vs. indirect sales motions
  • Fine tuning customer target lists to ensure that reps have an optimal account composition in the territories they manage
  • Designing & developing foundational sales programs to drive desired behaviors in the Sales organization
  • Improving processes and implement tool changes & updates to enhance performance of the Sales organization and provide a better, more integrated customer experience

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • 10+ years of GTM work experience in technology companies and/or management consulting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar – MBA preferred
  • Experience leading complex projects and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority
  • Experience managing diverse, high performance teams

  • Demonstrated track record as an outstanding problem-solver and strategic thinker – able to work in the details and click-up a level to grasp the “big picture”
  • Highly analytical and intellectually curious about data analysis, trends, and insight generation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as the business and technical communities
