Job Description
Summary
This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all defects on trucks. Ensure that customer standards are consistently met on each truck including, but not limited to routing and clipping standards, system functionality and system integrity. Provide feedback and training to Team Members, Team Coordinators, Team Leads, and Value Stream Leaders to eliminate all defects at their source.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Inspect each truck and identify all defects.
- Use Quality Management System (QMS) to track any open defects and repair them.
- Provide timely feedback on trends and repeat defects.
- Build a strong knowledge base on electrical, powertrain, air conditioning, air brake system as well as vehicle controls.
- Diagnose and share knowledge base with Team Members.
- Participate in two quality oriented kaizens per month.
- Attend all skills enhancement training offered.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED; and more than one year of experience in a vehicle manufacturing/industrial environment.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret bills of materials. Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions and volumes. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics and brake system schematics and follow fault logic instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
A thorough working knowledge of:
- AXIS (Team Center Engineering - IMAN, QAD, ADNET)
- MS Office
