Your Mission:

Facilitate the seamless support to production and facility.  Maintenance Engineer Leads will perform all aspects of continuous maintenance and facility support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day maintenance tickets, inventory, scheduling, including utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), performing all inventory (recording of component and supply production usage to increase manufacturing efficiency) as required.   
  • Implementation of lean manufacturing maintenance practices, including designation and implementation of assigned layouts for tools, parts, ticket priority, CMMS preventative maintenance schedule and supplies with goal of maximum production down time and facility.  
  • Troubleshoot and prevent assembly line calls by determining cause; provide solutions to issues raised by others. Provide assistance and engineering direction in real time to workstations.
  • Maintenance engineering, industrial and process engineering related functions, including use of manufacturing engineering skills and relating them to resolution of current maintenance improvements.   
  • Implementation of 5S principles, including visual management and addition of organizational aids. Organize and implement continuous improvement projects with maintenance.
  • Develop adjustments or improvements to maintenance process, equipment, and tooling.
  • Project management of introduction of new maintenance parts, equipment, and products/options into maintenance support to production; assist with new production equipment to development maintenance documents preventative and continuous. Develop new preventative maintenance instructions and foster implementation of new options.
  • Preform requisitions for purchase (PO issue) of production support materials, fluids, parts, tools, and facility support.
  • Promote and enhance safety and ergonomics in the maintenance support by creating a safe work environment within the stations.
  • Maintenance engineer will work close with other disciplines including production, plant management, industrial engineering group and safety.
  • Maintenance engineer must have the ability to work in a team environment, have an open mind and look at problems, issues, conflicts with options of resolution.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant maintenance engineering discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably maintenance / assembly in the automotive or heavy truck industry.
  • Understanding of time study/ balancing schedules and work tickets.
  • Strong work ethic, great attitude, working as a team and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Maintenance-oriented and hands-on.
  • Effective communicator across all levels of the organization from production to management.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), maintenance ticket system.
