Your mission

As EV Business Development Director, you will be part of a dynamic sales organization representing a superior premium product. You will be responsible for supporting early-stage Electronic Vehicle (EV) business development among top tier national fleet accounts as an Electronic Vehicle technical expert.

You will engage with existing and new Autocar customers as the product and technology expert on Autocar’s EV platform.  You will partner with the sales team to educate customers on the Autocar value proposition, as you sell direct to the end user. You will promote Autocar’s EV performance. You will demonstrate technical benefits to customers. You will listen to understand customer requirements for vehicle application, including power and charging requirements to ensure battery right sizing for their fleet. This role promotes and supports EV sales to ensure profitable growth and increased market share of this rapidly growing business sector.

Contribute to increased truck sales by successfully demonstrating the Autocar EV value proposition with customers

Create pull through demand for EV's from our current customer base, to capture market share

Work cohesively with our North American sales force, to market, demonstrate, quote, and deliver EV orders

Ensure the “Great Start” Autocar experience by supporting delivery and launch of EV orders at customer bases

Your Background Includes:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in engineering

Minimum 5 years engineering, product management, or sales experience

 Technical experience in electronic vehicles or vehicle engineering

Strong customer relationship management experience

Experience delivering professional presentations, delivering technical demonstrations, integrating customer feedback, liaising with multiple stakeholders, building relationships, growing sales

Organization skills with the ability to manage and prioritize activities to deliver results
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM

You thrive in building collaborative relationships to achieve technical results

Where will you work? 

This position will cover North America. You must have the ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
