Your Mission:

Join us in revolutionizing the production environment for severe-duty class 8 trucks. As an industrial engineer, your mission is to seamlessly introduce new products and options into manufacturing. Apply your expertise in lean manufacturing practices, 5S, visual management, and continuous to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop work instructions, tooling, and processes for efficient implementation of new products and options.
  • Execute development plans to launch new options and products, focusing on manufacturing efficiency and cost control.
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles in collaboration with plant leadership.
  • Conduct/participate in Kaizen events and implement improvements.
  • Represent the plant safety team and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with design teams to provide guidance for design for manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with offsite contract engineers for process models and assembly instructions.
  • Manage facilities and tooling development, ensuring readiness for new product launches.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in automotive or heavy truck assembly.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S, and visual management.
  • Thorough understanding of time study/line balancing.
  • Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and a willingness to learn.

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks Composer, and NX Unigraphics is a plus.
  • Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
