We are currently searching for Operations Technology (OT) Systems Engineer to join our Corporate IT Team. The position can be located at any of our North America Plants, and will be determined based on the successful candidates location.
 
The OT Systems Engineer will lead and coordinate the integration of an Asset Management Performance System with Plex ERP. This role will focus on enhancing preventive maintenance, improving shop floor visualization, and enabling real-time AI-driven alerts and intelligent work instructions. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience in industrial environments, with a deep understanding of OT/IT convergence, manufacturing systems, and AI-assisted digital transformation.

What you will do:
  • Project Leadership:
    • Plan, manage, and execute OT projects focused on integrating asset performance systems with Plex ERP
    • Define scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources in alignment with organizational goals
  • System Integration:
    • Oversee the data and functional integration between the Asset Management Performance system and Plex ERP
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, maintenance, engineering, operations) to ensure seamless interoperability
    • Preventive Maintenance Optimization:
    • Design and implement solutions that leverage asset data to drive predictive and preventive maintenance strategies
    • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure that system outputs are actionable and aligned with operational needs
  • AI Enablement:
    • Coordinate the implementation of AI tools that enhance work instructions, generate intelligent alerts, and manage real-time escalations
    • Define data inputs and outputs that support AI-driven insights, in collaboration with data science and automation teams
    • Shop Floor Visualization:
    • Enable real-time visualization of asset health, work order status, and performance KPIs on the shop floor
    • Integrate visual dashboards and mobile solutions to enhance user engagement and situational awareness
  • Communication & Training:
    • Lead initiatives to ensure user adoption and operational readiness
    • Develop and deliver training sessions for stakeholders, ensuring effective use of the integrated systems
    • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary liaison between vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams.
    • Report regularly on project milestones, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Technology, or a related field, preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in project leadership within manufacturing, industrial automation, or OT/IT systems.
  • Minium of ten (10) years in a role focused in OT/IT Systems
  • Previous experience working with Plex Maintenance Module and/or Mach2 is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience integrating ERP systems (preferably Plex) with manufacturing or maintenance systems.
  • PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification is a plus but not required.
 Travel Requirements:
  • This position will require up to 75% travel to North America Plants, including Mexico.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM platforms, preventive maintenance strategies, and equipment performance monitoring.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML applications in industrial settings, including predictive maintenance and intelligent workflows.
  • Strong understanding of OT systems, industrial network protocols, and shop floor technologies (e.g., SCADA, PLCs, sensors).
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Ignition, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AI platforms, natural language processing, or automation scripting.
