Controls Engineer

We are currently searching for Controls Engineer to join our team at our Auria Sidney location in Sidney, Ohio.
What you will do:
- Work with maintenance to support production equipment: all electrical systems including up to 480V, motor controls including contactors and VFD’s from Allen Bradley and SEW, hardwired safety circuits including light curtains, safety laser scanners, gate switches, and safety relays, PLC troubleshooting with AB PLC5, SLC500 and Control Logix platforms, HMI troubleshooting with AB Panelview Plus, CTC powerstation and industrial PC’s with Labview and custom applications, ability to work with industrial I/O networks including Ethernet I/P, Devicenet, Controlnet and Remote I/O, work with Motoman MRC, XRC, NX and DX series robots in waterjet cutting, stapling and gluing applications, maintain industrial vision systems including Keyence and Cognex
- Work with program engineering personnel to design and implement new capital equipment: design distribution from 480VAC down to 24VDC circuits, design safety circuits to guard personnel, layout and program PLCs mostly in Control Logix platform, design and program HMIs based on application, work with various distributed I/O systems, industrial vision system integration and programming (Cognex), integrate Motoman robots including MRC, XRC, NX and DX series
- Support and modify existing equipment: work with plant production and other engineering personnel to formulate and implement equipment changes, modify PLC and HMI programs for changes, maintain part data in plant servers and PLCs for customer changes, modify robot programs and/or vision inspections for customer changes, maintain and modify industrial communication and I/O networks
- Act as back-up IT administrator
- Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree or equivalent experience
Travel Requirements: Daily and/or overnight travel should be minimal
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Working knowledge and experience with processes and equipment found in the facility
- Expertise in machine safety standards and specifications used within the automotive industry and within the facility
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
