Staff Accountant II

Job Description Overview:
This is a full-function accounting position responsible for of our subsidiaries in the US. The role includes AP, AR, FA, GL, TAX, and financial analysis. This position is expected to develop a strong understanding of the Company's accounting processes and contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and financial reporting accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and financial reporting packages for management review and consolidation reporting
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items timely and accurately.
- Process and review payment requests efficiently and effectively with consideration for accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal control requirements.
- Maintain vendor master records, fixed asset records, and other daily operation records to track
- Maintain lease accounting schedules and prepare related accounting entries in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with property tax filings, business licenses, annual reports, and income tax support schedules.
- Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and tax engagements by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to CPA firm inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and automation solutions into accounting and finance processes to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational effectiveness.
- Perform ad hoc analyses, reporting, and project support as assigned by management
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be proficient with MS Excel, intermediate skills of Power Point, Word, & Outlook
- Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
Required Qualifications:
Years of Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Work Experience
- 3+ years of accounting or tax related experience preferably in hardware manufacturing industry or CPA firm
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sensitive to numbers
- Self-driven, teamwork, enthusiasm and positive attitude
- High quality of work and strong intention to improve
- Strong interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Office environment (Hillsboro, OR) with hybrid work (3 days in office / 2 days work from home)
- Flexibility based on business needs
- Ability to work overtime at request
- Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time
