Job Description Overview:

The Vice President of Server Solutions will lead and oversee the Server Solutions team, driving the development and implementation of technical solutions that meet our clients' server needs. This executive role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and customer engagement experience to support our sales organization and accelerate revenue growth. The VP of Server Solutions will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions that align with business objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute a server solutions strategy aligned with business objectives and market needs.
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing server solutions team, ensuring technical excellence and continuous skill development.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive go-to-market strategies and optimize pre-sales engagement.
    • Establish and refine best practices, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement:
    • Partner with sales teams to understand customer pain points, design tailored solutions and deliver compelling technical presentations.
    • Guide clients through product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) development, and technical evaluations to showcase our value proposition.
    • Act as a trusted technical advisor to key customers and strategic partners.
    • Collaborate with sales teams on request for quote/request for proposal (RFQ/RFP) and ensure alignment with client needs.
    • Develop cloud strategies and architecture to support business objectives and growth.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide feedback from customers and influence roadmap decisions.
    • Partner with sales leadership to refine sales strategies and enhance deal qualification.
    • Foster strong relationships with partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to drive innovation and market expansion.
    • Work closely with marketing and product teams to align messaging and solutions with market demand.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the server solutions function, including win rates, PoC success, and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain Server Solutions Team Objectives and Key Results (OKR) to align with company goals
    • Continuously optimize pre-sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies.
    • Conduct market research analysis to assess potential projects.

 

Required Qualifications:

Years of Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred

 

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in server solutions, technical pre-sales, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience on Server platforms with proven track record of product management on top Service Providers, Enterprise customers and System Integrators

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of servers, storage, A.I. tech stack, enterprise applications, and commercial-related server industry.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to drive business growth.
  • Experience with enterprise sales cycles, RFPs, and PoC engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time
  • Up to 30% Domestic & International Travel

 

$220,000-$280,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
