Job Description Overview:

As a Press Relations Specialist, you will develop and execute public relations strategies for a portfolio of PC products, targeting both business and consumer audiences in North America. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, managing media relationships, and creating content that communicates complex technical information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders. You will monitor media coverage, track PR performance, and provide insights to improve results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies across B2B and B2C segments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and influencers in the technology and business sectors.
  • Prepare press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials with a focus on technical and business relevance.
  • Coordinate media briefings and press events to showcase products and their applications.
  • Track media coverage, analyze PR metrics, and assess campaign performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product management and product marketing, to translate specifications into key messaging.
  • Assist in putting press kit assets together, including retrieving press releases, product photos and videos, pitching guides, and review guides to assist the PR manager for media communications/pitching.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of PR principles within the technology industry.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of PR tools and platforms for tracking media coverage.
  • Effective relationship-building skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in using Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Presentation Slides, and Corporate Email systems.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar software.
  • Familiarity with laptop, PC, and IT products, along with relevant industry trends.
  • Experience in a tech or B2B environment, EDU community.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment based in Fremont office.
  • 15-20% Domestic & International travel during the year.
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

 

$66,560-$95,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
