Senior PR Manager
Description
The Senior PR Manager is responsible for all external communications on behalf of ASUS Computer International in the North American region, with a primary focus on Canada and cross-regional coordination with the U.S. This role oversees media relations, public relations strategy, and product review operations, working closely with ASUS headquarters to align on global launch strategies and ensure consistent messaging across markets.
This position plays a key role in strengthening ASUS’s media presence, building strong relationships with press and influencers, and managing public relations agencies. The role also supports product launches, press materials, media testing, and event coordination for key product categories, including Desktop PCs, All-in-One PCs, and Notebook PCs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement new product introductions for national, regional, and local media to maximize positive coverage in Canada.
- Support North America PR coordination between Canada and the United States.
- Manage PR agencies, including oversight of performance and deliverables.
- Strengthen and build relationships with media outlets to improve coverage and brand perception.
- Localize, customize, and develop press releases for the Canadian market.
- Secure optimal media coverage for ASUS products and technologies.
- Develop and oversee analytics and measurement to determine the effectiveness of all PR programs.
- Prepare speeches and talking points for ASUS executives.
- Manage media tours, media events, and related logistics.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Clear understanding of brand marketing strategy and 360-degree marketing tactics.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of merchandising processes and online/offline marketing channels.
- Familiarity with the technology ecosystem and PC industry fundamentals preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a demanding, fast-changing environment, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Positive, results-oriented attitude with a growth mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Required Qualifications:
Years of Education
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 3–5 years of PR experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, preferably in the PC, gaming, or consumer electronics industry.
Experience managing PR campaigns, agencies, and cross-regional communication strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Experience in consumer electronics or the PC industry.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions:
- Typically works in an office or home-office environment.
- Requires sitting, operating a computer, and using standard office equipment for extended periods.
- Occasional travel may be required (domestic/international).
$90,000 - $140,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, CA office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
