Job Description Overview:

The Senior Director of Product Management will lead the strategic vision, development, and end-to-end lifecycle management of the ASUS NUC product portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring market competitiveness, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across hardware, software, and integrated solutions.

In addition to product leadership, the Senior Director will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to elevate brand awareness, strengthen market positioning, and support the broader business objectives of the ASUS NUC line. This role requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, and who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term product vision and roadmap for Asus NUCs, especially for commercial and gaming Mini PC market.
  • Financial Ownership: Manage product P&L, ensuring alignment with business goals and profitability targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to deliver high-impact products on time and within budget.
  • Customer & Market Insight: Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to develop product strategy and positioning.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee product planning from concept through launch and end of life, including feature prioritization, pricing strategy, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and marketing managers fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate product strategy and performance to internal stakeholders, key partner business units, global marketing, regional sales teams and customers.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with R&D to establish a technology and innovation roadmap and build differentiated product competitiveness.
  • Growth: Develop programs to attract and retain customers and gather feedback to improve marketing deliverables to our key partners, and collaborate with other Business Units to ensure cohesive marketing efforts across ASUS

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to craft and execute long-term marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Deep understanding of concept-to-launch processes.
  • PC Industry & Ecosystem: Familiarity with hardware components (CPU, GPU, memory, storage, etc.) Knowledge of OEM, ODM, and supply chain dynamics
  • Customer & Market Insight: User personas and segmentation (e.g., gamers, creators, enterprise) Competitive landscape and benchmarking. Trends in mobility, performance, form factors, and sustainability
  • Business & Financial Acumen: P&L ownership, pricing strategies, and cost modeling, forecasting, margin optimization, and ROI analysis
  • Technology Trends: AI integration, edge computing, cloud services
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Using metrics to guide prioritization and trade-offs
  • Problem Solving: Navigating technical, market, and organizational challenges
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Cross-Functional Leadership, Working with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support.                                                                                         
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicating with executives, partners, and customers
  • Team Development: Mentoring PMs, fostering innovation and accountability
  • Quality & Customer Experience Focus: Ensuring product excellence and satisfaction
  • Content Marketing: Ability to create and manage content marketing strategies that drive brand engagement and lead generation
  • Goal-oriented, with experience managing a product organization of over 10 people.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey messages clearly and persuasively
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and team members
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field
  • 12+ years of marketing experience with several years in a senior leadership role
  • 12+ years managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen understanding of PC/Mini-PC category sales channels and market dynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’s degree in engineering, technology, or business
  • 15+ years of experience in progressive business strategy and product/category management
  • 15+ years managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in driving product line to market leading position in the PC industry
     

Working Conditions:

  • Office Only: Typically works in an office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time
  • Travel: 30% travel as needed for Customer, Partner and Industry collaboration

 

 

$180k Min Base - $280k Max Base annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
