Enhancement Crew Leader – TR Gear Landscaping
The Enhancement Crew Leader is a working team member that oversees clean-ups, mulching, trimming, landscape maintenance, pruning, fertilization, weed control, planting of trees and shrubs, flower installation, leaf clean-ups, and similar tasks. Crews are responsible to safely and efficiently complete landscape enhancement projects on assigned properties.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Train, direct, organize, and oversee crew to assure quality and timely completion of all tasks assigned.
- Ensure crew is sensitive and respectful of equipment and customer’s property at all times.
- Identify problems and follow through appropriately.
- Motivate and manage crew to perform tasks within the allotted budgeted hours.
- Responsible for all reporting requirements.
- Display honesty and respect when working with coworkers, contractors, customers, and other employees.
- Set the standards for a quality company image that invites customers to repeat their business.
- Emphasize importance of customer service to laborers and coworkers.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are being met.
- Communicate constructively with customers, crews, and management.
- Communicate Company policy and expectations to crew.
- Participate with the Customer Service Manager in evaluating crew’s performance.
- Complete company safety training program.
- Ensure crew members are wearing proper uniforms and are dressed appropriately for conditions.
- Ensure all crew members are wearing proper PPE while operating equipment.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for employees and customers at all times.
- Train/Update crew members on company safety policies and proper equipment operation.
- Report any repairs or maintenance requirements needed on equipment to supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
- Must be able to direct/lead employees with diversified backgrounds.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Must have some horticulture knowledge and experience
- Must have a positive attitude, patience, and good follow-through skills.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Education & Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience leading other workers.
Pre-Screen
- Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- RARE (less than 10%): climbing stairs
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): sitting, crawling, climbing on/off truck, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reading, climbing ladders
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, sense of touch, speaking clearly, seeing distant, gripping, reaching, range of motion, depth perception, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): standing, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing/speech range, color vision, lifting, lifting up to 10 lbs.
