Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assembly of electrical control panels to include drilling, mounting, and wiring
- Metal work – sawing, cutting, drilling, and tapping to mount devices and components onto cabinet inner panels, and cabinet doors and walls
- Relay and server rack assembly – 19 inch and 24 inch rack assembly
- Communication cable and connector termination (RJ11, RJ45, specialty)
- Panel wiring – conductor routing, termination, harnessing, and cabling to support 5VDC up to 480VAC.
- Wiring of PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, Industrial Computers, Data concentrators, Controllers, Power Relays and Meters, Cell modems, routers and other control and monitoring components.
- Assist with shipping of equipment and control panels
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
- Ability to use power and manual hand tools
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and assembly drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Possess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards, vendors, and technologies as they relate to the consulting engineering industry
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Some college or technical school education preferred
- Work experience in the manufacturing, construction, or engineering industry is an advantage
- Two plus years of experience preferred
License & Certifications:
- Driver's License Preferred, but not required
Travel:
Little to no travel is expected for this position
Physical Requirements:
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
