Traffic Signal Laborer

  • We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer (with a CDL) to join our crew. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites to support skilled tradespeople and ensure projects run smoothly. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to learn on the job.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and unloading materials
  • Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and jackhammers
  • Assist other skilled workers as needed
  • Load and unload materials and distribute them to appropriate locations
  • Dig trenches, compact earth, and perform basic demolition tasks
  • Assemble and dismantle temporary structures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site
  • Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear at all times
  • Report hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of truck or equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a CDL.
  • Ability to work in a bucket or platform truck/device
  • Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans
  • Able to operate various equipment in order to install signal items (Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Trk etc.)
  • Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather
  • May involve early mornings, overtime, or weekend shifts
  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • CDL required

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing to travel within the State of Florida as needed.
