Purchasing Associate
Local electrical/transportation construction industry company seeking self-motivated Purchasing Assistant capable of providing various administrative, procurement, and procurement support functions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Order entry, purchase order processing.
- Creating, submitting and tracking shop drawings and submittals.
- Expediting orders, problem resolution, and filing of paperwork.
- Review & comprehend blueprints, plans, and specifications to perform material take-off.
- Contacting Vendors/Suppliers for material quotations and some negotiating of purchases.
- Coordinating deliveries and order expediting with material suppliers.
- Interfacing with other departments and field personnel as needed.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to maintain the necessary functions of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1 to 2 years of industry-related experience preferred.
- Construction background and procurement experience required.
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Fast learner of processes and procedures.
- Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and effective problem-solving skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Spectrum.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years of experience in Industry preferred
Pre-Screen
- Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
- Driver's License preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Rare: (less than 10%): walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, seeing distance, climbing on/off a truck, climbing, lifting over 10-50 lbs., depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
