Regional Manager
 
The Regional Manager reports to the Director/VP of Operations and is accountable for ensuring corporate stability, and effectively executing projects within budget, schedule, and safety/quality guidelines.  The Regional Manager oversees project plans determining timelines, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation. Additionally, responsible for prioritizing and maintaining positive relationships with clients and other customers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
 
Project Initiation
  • Development of new customer contacts and business opportunities.
  • Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings and determine personnel, materials, and equipment requirements.
  • Provides technical reviews for constructability, production expectations, and milestone recognition.
Project Planning
  • Oversee materials management, procurement, and compliance tracking.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) across all regional projects.
  • Oversee the development, implementation of, and maintain project execution plans that will ensure assigned projects are completed, on time, and within budget.
Project Execution
  • Oversee Regional Management.
  • Ensure existing and newly developed Corporate Policies are established within the Region.
  • Ensure quality production and adherence to the company’s Quality Control Program and Safety standards.
  • Oversee the regular maintenance and appearance of all equipment.
  • Directs settlement of all customers, vendors, subcontractors, and employee complaints.
  • Implement change control policies.
Monitor and Control Project
  • Oversee the efficient use of employees, tools, and equipment to maximize production.
  • Support company safety programs and OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the clients and promotes additional work with that company.
  • Reviews production schedules along with work progress and takes corrective actions to meet profit goals.
  • Reviews work in progress and identifies and provides direction for corrective actions.
  • Manage employee corrective actions and terminations, as needed.
  • Oversee employee development and job training.
Project Closeout
  • Prepare closing documentation and oversee job book assembly.
  • Prepare project lessons learned document and report to management.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in reading engineering drawings and contract documents.
  • 5+ years of related experience with the Department of Transportation or other Federal projects. 
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of field operations and have demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, training, and organizational skills.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other documents.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience:
  • A college degree in business, engineering, or technical field is preferred. Significant industry experience may be substituted for education. 
Pre-Screen:

License & Certifications:
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional Travel will be a significant part of this position.
